Oge has completed her undergraduate degree at the London School of Economics and Political Science where she studied BSc Politics and Philosophy, as well as her post graduate diploma in law.
She is deeply interested in increasing her knowledge and understanding of the African continent’s vast 54 countries and getting a better understanding of the histories, politics, and landscapes across the continent. In her previous studies she has looked at the role of women’s agency and resistance in the trans Atlantic slave trade period, as well as Nigeria’s attempts at ethnic reconciliation post the end of the civil war.
At Oxford, she looks forward to further conducting studies on Nigeria, and the interplay between politics, religion and ethnicity in the country.
Outside of academics, Oge had had experience being the sole intern of the LSE Firoz Lalji Africa Institute and the Office of the African Union’s Special Envoy on Youth. She has worked with the office ahead of and at the 2023 COP 28 in Dubai, as well as the 2024 79th United Nations General Assembly. In her spare time she also runs her podcast “Africa and Everywhere: Conversations with Oge” where she amplifies the stories of successful African businessmen and women.
