My research primarily centers on the examination of political elites in Central and Eastern Africa, delving into their ideas, aspirations, and imaginaries. I more particularly focus on South Sudan as a revolutionary regime and explore the (failed) attempt by elites from the Equatoria region to build a counter-hegemonic project. In addition to my focus on South Sudan, I also engage in the study of regional cooperation, security, and conflicts in the Eastern African region
I studied Law and Political Science at UCLouvain (Belgium) and earned a first-class degree in African Studies at the University of Oxford. Presently, I am in the final stages of completing my DPhil at the Department of Politics and International Relations (DPIR), University of Oxford. Prior to joining Oxford, I worked in the diplomatic and humanitarian sectors, primarily in Central and Eastern Africa.
