Floris earned his BSc in Liberal Arts & Sciences from Erasmus University Rotterdam, with a major in Political Science and International Relations. His undergraduate thesis examined the role of cultural nationalism in anti-colonial nation-building processes in Zimbabwe and Iran, using a comparative approach to broaden the understanding of such movements.
In addition, Floris led research projects for the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its youth think tank, focusing on enhancing EU sanctions against those fuelling the conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo and rethinking the financial structuring of multilateral development partnerships.
At OSGA, Floris aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of the strategic partnership between the EU and Namibia, with a special focus on the twin transitions to green and digital economies.
