I hold Bachelors degrees in History and International Studies from Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas. Upon graduation from Baker in 2018 I continued my education at Oxford with the MSc in African Studies. Currently, I am working on a DPhil in History also at the University of Oxford. My area of interest is the Muslim community in the Kingdom of Buganda in the pre-colonial and colonial eras and how this community interacted with and influenced the other religious communities of Buganda. I am also interested in how the political power of this group evolved over time during both the pre-colonial and the colonial periods. I am also working in the African Studies Centre as an administrative assistant for the duration of the 2019 - 2020 academic year.
