I completed my undergraduate studies in Law at the University of Exeter. There, I developed a strong interest in discourses that sought to challenge the hegemony of privileged narratives and exclusionary politics in the legal system, while cementing the belief that examining the law, particularly its implications on gendered, classed and racialised communities, necessitates an intersectional and multidisciplinary approach. At Oxford, I want to further examine how the legacy of colonialism has informed the construction of systems which have served to undermine the refugee protection afforded to those of minoritised communities.
